This can have multiple reasons:
- Is the card activated? Check that the card is activated by creating an account for Fuel & Charge app using your card credentials. If your card is not activated, you will be unable to register. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact your fleet manager to receive support by the card customer centre.
- Was the card registered by the reader? It is possible that the card was not picked up by the card reader. Try again, this time moving the card slowly across the reader and adjusting both the angle of the card and its distance to the card reader as required.
- Has the card reader read the wrong card? The Fuel & Charge card communicates with the charging station via an RFID chip. Other cards, such as bank cards, are also equipped with RFID chips. To prevent the charging station from reading the wrong chip, it is best to take the Fuel & Charge card out of your wallet. You can then swipe it in front of the charging station to start or end a charging session.
- Is the charging station part of the Fuel & Charge network? If the charging station is not displayed on the BP/Aral Fuel & Charge app, it is possible that this charging station is not part of the current BP/Aral charging network.
